L-shape sofa built into a corner

How to measure a corner for an L-shape sofa

A corner sofa is two measurements, not one.

1. Measure both walls

Run the tape along the skirting, wall to corner. Write both numbers down in millimetres. A 3200 mm wall and a 2100 mm wall give you a 3200 x 2100 sofa, not a large corner.

2. Take the doors off the number

Measure from the corner to the edge of any door frame. If the door opens into the room, stop the sofa 100 mm short of its swing.

3. Decide which side the long arm goes

Stand with your back to the corner. The chaise runs left or right. Tell us which.

4. Check the way in

Measure the narrowest doorway and the tightest turn on the stairs. We build in sections when the route needs it.

Send us those four numbers. You get back a drawing, a price and a build date. Every piece takes 1 to 10 days.
